CYCLONE CAT™  - Controlled Aspirated Temperature

Cyclone-Cat-RetrofitThe inspirational result of extensive research and development into performance improving technology for flat tempered glass.
Lambert GT Services Limited has once again proven its leadership in the processing systems of architectural flat tempered glass with the latest innovation for toughening plants.  This system can be fitted to all existing machines as well as to all new machines.

The mission through the development of CYCLONE CAT ™ was to ensure versatility and ease of installation, not only our own machinery but an affordable option as a retrofit to our competitor’s equipment.  This has been achieved through the extensive knowledge of glass processing by the company’s electro-mechanical engineers as well as in conjunction with a leading thermal dynamic professor.  It was important that we offered all users of glass toughening plants this technology with the ideology that all companies should be on a ‘level playing field’.

Tests have shown that when this controlled aspirated temperature system is used in association with standard oven radiant heating methods, then improvements are noticed in visual quality, a reduced percentage of production breakages, and major decreases in production cycle times.

Typically cycles times on coated glass will be reduced by a guaranteed minimum of 10 %, however in reality tests have already indicated that cycle times can be reduced by nearer 20 %. Later on, we believe we will be able to offer further additional modifications to improve cycle times further still.

Cyclone-Cat-Retrofit2CYCLONE CAT ™ operates in tandem with the control system for the furnace and promotes the use of heated compressed air forced into the oven by a series of in line stainless steel pipes, located strategically throughout the encasement.  This allows the glass to be soaked with heat more efficiently and thoroughly.

• The system also minimises the use of So’2 gas, because it forces the glass flat onto the rollers quicker, therefore reducing white scuffing marks, normally associated with non-aspirated systems.

• Typical cost of the complete system into a 1300 x 2700 glass tempering system, would be approx  £25,000 + vat.

• Price includes a basic compressor and dryer to the value of £7,000 + vat, the only extras are for your air receiver and pipework installed to our system.

• Operation of the system is a simple on / off, and set by a simple preset percentage of cycle time.

• Installation can be done over a weekend period and commissioning and training will take place during a typical production day.
