Lambert GT Services recently carried out a complete hearth rebuild inside a TamGlas tempering system at MIG in Birmingham. The whole hearth section was removed back down to the steel casing and built back up with high density board sourced locally.

The element holders and racks were in extremely poor condition which was causing heating elements to fail time after time. Lambert GT also replaced the SO2 manifold and both sidewalls which meant re-drilling the lining to suit the ceramic rollers, this involved making a stainless steel guide and core drill. The element holders were fabricated onsite by our skilled engineers whilst the element racks were produced locally by a Precision stainless steel manufacturing company.

Lambert GT Services worked closely with MIG’ resident engineer to source any parts that were needed such as elements , seals or thermocouples and would like to thank them for their help that enabled us to carry out this refurbishment to the highest standard.

If you have a TamGlas or any other type of tempering system that may need this kind of repair please contact us and we can arrange a site visit and inspection of the furnace to offer a quotation.

It looks like we already have your details, thank you.
